Container Space
How much space is needed for a container?
To sum it up:- 60' for truck + box.
- 24' or less for the approach.
- 9' only if customer wants the door open.
Below is a photographic example to help visualize the space needed. To see examples of how some of our clients place their containers on site, visit the container placement section.
- Starting at the front bumper is Cone #2, the starting point.
- 24' to Cone #1 is the ideal space the truck needs to approach the container.
- 36' to Cone #3 is the space occupied by the truck itself.
- 24' to Cone #4 needed for a 20 or 30 yard box (subtract 10' for a 12 yard box).
- 9' to Cone #5 is necessary if box is accessed through the back door.
